Steel Trading Desk Privacy Policy

Summary

Steel Trading Desk does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data. The app does not require an account, does not use analytics, does not track users, and does not include advertising SDKs.

Tape Entries and State

Your manual tape entries, gate state, alert volume, time settings, and last-session preferences are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. This information remains on the device and is not transmitted to MDRN.

User-Provided API Keys

If you choose to enable optional live-data integration, the API key you provide is stored locally in the platform Keychain. MDRN does not receive, log, or proxy your API keys.

Third-Party Data Sources

The embedded TradingView chart loads delayed public data and requires no account. Optional live data flows directly from your device to the provider you select — Finnhub, Polygon, Schwab, or Yahoo — using the API key you supplied. There is no MDRN proxy server in this path. The provider's own privacy policy governs that traffic.

Data Collection

Steel Trading Desk does not collect personal information, device identifiers, usage analytics, crash analytics, location data, contact information, or payment information.

Network Use

The full workflow can be exercised with zero outbound network calls. Outbound traffic only occurs when (1) the embedded TradingView chart loads delayed public data, or (2) you have enabled an optional live-data integration with your own API key.

Steel Trading Desk is an educational discipline utility. It does not execute trades, manage funds, provide financial advice, or connect as a brokerage service. You are responsible for your own trading decisions and risk.

Changes

If Steel Trading Desk's privacy practices change, MDRN will update this policy and revise the effective date above.
