How much of the game is free?
The free start includes the prologue and the Green Hand act — sign the note, take command, sail the near Atlantic and an Azores rumor route, hunt right whales and sperm whales, lower the three starter whaleboats, and hear the first sightings of the white whale. A first careful captain can spend 45–90 minutes in the free portion.
What does the Full Voyage Unlock open?
Acts II–IV of the career, the Pacific, the Arctic, Japan, Hawaii, the South Pacific, the South Atlantic, larger and more dangerous whale species, the fourth and fifth whaleboats and their reinforced and elite variants, all special equipment, and the full chase of the Leviathan.
How much does the Full Voyage Unlock cost?
$6.99 USD. One non-consumable purchase. No ads, no timers, no second IAP, no currencies, no repeat purchases.
How do I unlock the full voyage?
Return to port after your first voyage. The "Open the Grounds" panel will appear with your voyage ledger and an offer to sign for the full voyage. You can also access "Open the Grounds" any time from the Full Voyage section of any Port screen.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Use "Restore the Note" on the Splash screen, or "Restore the Note" inside any Port screen's Full Voyage section. As long as you are signed into the same Apple ID that made the original purchase, the Full Voyage Unlock will restore without charge.
Where is my save stored?
On your device only. Neon Leviathan does not back up saves to a server. If you delete the app, your career save is removed.
Will iCloud sync be added?
Cloud save sync is on the post-v1 roadmap. We will update this page when it ships.
Why is there only one save slot?
Career permanence is part of the game. One captain. One ledger. One ocean.
Does Neon Leviathan require an internet connection?
No. The game is fully offline. The only network use is the Apple App Store transaction when you purchase or restore the Full Voyage Unlock.
Is the game landscape-only?
Yes. Neon Leviathan is designed for a landscape cabinet on both iPhone and iPad. Portrait is disabled by design.
Why is my obsession score not shown as a number?
Obsession is a private weather, not a leaderboard. You will see your captain's tier — Steady, Drawn, Marked, Haunted, or Possessed — in the gauge and in the news.
Neon Leviathan is rated 17+ for mature themes including historical violence, on-page crew death, debt and economic pressure, and depictions of psychological obsession. The game does not include graphic imagery, gambling mechanics, user-generated content, chat features, or unrestricted web access.
