Privacy Policy
Effective May 15, 2026
MIKEY MK-78 runs entirely on your device. There is no account system, no telemetry, no tracking, and no third-party analytics. This page documents what stays local and what the app never sends.
Summary
MIKEY MK-78 is a local-first synthesizer. The DSP runs natively on your device. The app does not collect personal data, does not include analytics SDKs, and does not call home.
Audio Processing
All synthesis happens on your CPU. Notes, voice allocations, and patch parameters never leave your device. As a plugin, MK-78 receives MIDI and parameter changes from the host DAW only — the host's privacy practices govern those inputs.
Presets and State
Patches and session state save locally as standard plugin presets or to a project file in your DAW. MDRN does not host preset libraries or sync your work to any server.
Data Collection
MK-78 does not collect personal information, device identifiers, usage analytics, crash analytics, location data, contact information, or payment information.
Network Use
The standalone app, VST3, and AU builds do not require a network connection. The optional web build runs locally in the browser; audio processing is performed by the Web Audio API in the browser session and is not transmitted.
Third Parties
MK-78 does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking services.
Changes
If MK-78's privacy practices change, MDRN will update this policy and revise the effective date above.
